New Monitor Issue

Hi All,

I recently bought a new Dell 2405FPW monitor. I love it. But, I
cannot get it to do 1900x1440 as it is supposed to.

This was a clean install of windows xp. In the device manager there
are 2 listings for the video card:

ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XL
ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XL Secondary

Not sure why the second one is there, but I cannot get past 1024x768 on
the first entry, and it uses a wide scrolling screen.

In the second entry I can only get up to 1600x1200, but the redrawing
of windows on the screen is slower than hell.

I tried the drivers at this URL, but had no luck:
http://support.dell.com/support/dow...en&releaseid=R91058&formatcnt=1&fileid=118667

Anyone can help please?

Thanks.

What happens if you delete both drivers listed and reboot? Does the card (I
don't know the card's stats) support that mode? I'm guessing that it likely
should - it's new enough. Check, also, for monitor drivers. In other words
remove the video card drivers and reboot. Get the newest monitor drivers and
remove the old ones and reboot. That might take care of it and is where I'd
start this one I suppose.
