New messages and Replies to follow my formatting styles

Guest

I've set up a template for all new messages to follow a certain set of
formatting styles.
However, I notice that when I reply messages, sometimes the formatting
styles are modified. I presume this is to follow the style of the original
message.
Is there a way for all my replies to follow the formatting styles I've set
for my new messages?

No, you reply in the format of the original message. You can set your own
reply Font and color though;
Tools-> Options-> tab Mail Format

After Tools-> Options-> tab Mail Format, click Fonts, even though I selected
"use my font when replaying to and forwarding messages", it still didn't
work. The formatting toolbar is still disabled when replying to a message.
So how do I get this to work. Thanks.

Is the message HTML or plain text?

Plain text doesn't use formatting and some HTML will use the
fonts/formatting in the original message for the reply.

I looked at the message (View menu) and it is plain text. That's the one
where the formatting toolbar is disabled when replying. The html message
replies have the formatting toolbar. So if the sender's e-mail is set up as
plain text (under Mail Format), then there is no way to edit the formatting
in a reply message.

You could always click Edit>Edit Message, then click Format>HTML and then
reply with an HTML message.
