New Mail Notification problem with Windows Messenger 4.7

Zerq

Just recently I've stoped recieving the audible/visual
notification when I get new email with Windows Messenger.
I've tried upgrading to the 5.0 version, reinstalling
the 4.7 version and add-ins for email support, and have
even tried a couple system restore points. I've tried my
other .net passport and I get new email notifications
fine when I'm on that one even though it's on the same
computer and the options setting are exactly the same on
both . net accounts. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

Greetings Zerq,

Have you logged into that particular Hotmail account that is showing this problem recently?
In order for this functionality to work, you must have an active Hotmail account -- this
means actually going to the website and logging into the Inbox (this does not mean simply
reading your mail via Outlook or Outlook Express).
