Hi.

Happiness turned to sadness. Lol.

Ok so I got this new laptop and after a week I've been getting BSODs :(

I got one yesterday and now I got another one. This is the only discussion
board that I can see some experts that know how to analyze dmp files and
really gives 'real' solutions.

Okay here's the only thing I got from the BSOD:

-----------
Something like Driver_pool

STOP 0x000000c5(0x6ee7bcfa, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8054afd2)
-----------

I'm not sure which dmp files you need and how to copy the info from it.. I
saw 2 files in here C:\WINDOWS\Minidump . When I open them using notepad I
just see some weird text i dont know if thats it. Tell me what to post and
I'll paste it in my next reply.

Thank you.

Background information on Stop Error report

0x000000C5: DRIVER_CORRUPTED_EXPOOL
An attempt occurred to touch invalid memory at a process IRQL that is
too high. This is almost always caused by drivers that have corrupted
the system pool. If you've recently installed any new software, check to
see if it's properly installed; and check for updated drivers on the
manufacturer's web site.

Was the laptop bought new? What software have you installed since just
before the problem started?

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties,
Hardware,Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What
drivers are listed as unsigned? Disregard those which are not checked.

Please post the result.

Thanks for the quick reply Gerry.

This is a brand new laptop and Windows XP came with it.

But I'm the one who installed its drivers.

I just installed the programs I usually use at the same time as I installed
the drivers.

Here are the results of "sigverif.exe"

==
synmood.exe - c:\program files\synaptics\syntp
syntpenh.exe - c:\program files\synaptics\syntp
tutorial.exe - c:\program files\synaptics\syntp
==

And when I go to the Device Manager, I can see no exclamation mark/icon. All
drivers are installed.

Thanks again mate.

Hi.

I uninstalled the Synaptics driver from add/remove programs and up until now
i'm not experiencing any errors.

How do I use the Driver Verifier? All it says there is the description of it
but not how to use it..

Thanks again mate.
