You need to perform a CLEAN installation of Windows XP and all applications
if you wish to convert to English Windows XP. No other way. You cannot
"upgrade" or "replace" the spanish version and thus - not only must Windows
XP be installed - but all applications you wish to use on the machine.

As for your small screen - sounds like you are not using the native
resolution of the laptop and/or have not updated the hardware drivers for
the video card/monitor/chipset/sound/etc.
