new ip for web server plez help!!

hi,

i have a web server on our lan that people access from the
web. we have a specific domain name (company.com).
recently our public ip changed.

now, whose dns needs to be changed and or reconfigured so
when people type in the domain name it comes to our new ip
address. Please help me as i cannot figure this out. any
help is greatly appreciated. and let me know if you need
any more info

Hi Steph,
You need to change the record in the DNS server that publishes the public
records if it was your public IP that changed. You will also need to change
the router if you have one, so that it forwards port 80 on the correct IP to
the web server address.
