New install &getting errors like minidump\mini121904=02 dump

just installed and get the foll errors
1/ c:\windows\minidump\mini121904=-2 dmp
2/cocuments~1\.......\temp1.tmp\iroo\sysdata.xml
(other info like event id=1003, cat = 102)

can someone shade some light as why this should happen to new installation,
(apart from adding in modem driver, new ram). thank you.

Can you boot into safe mode (tap f8 key during boot)

When you say you just installed---from a clean harddrive (partitioned and
formatted for the first time?)

I 'gd' before I partition and format and do the installation. Now, I can
start the pc and it will get to the desktop and there will also be box titled
' the system has recovered from a serious error' and when I look into the
log, thats the details given (as in previous post).

I do not know, if it is due to infection as i tried to do the MS Update
immediately after the installation. Just a short time into the update, and as
soon as I see the message ........(cant recall the message but something to
the effect it NT AUTHORIZATION and will shut down), I disconnect the
internet.

I dont know whether if I go to MS website and get infected in the process.
As it stand now, everytime I on the pc, I will get the above message. ( I
have not log into the internet since then). Still trying to resolve this
issue before I instal the rest of the applications. Please assist and many
