New home network with XP and Vista

I know you guys probably get tired of the same old questions. But I've done
the research and read a lot of articles and I'm just not getting a handle on
this yet.

We have an HP desktop PC running XP, connected to DSL and a wireless router
(Belkin). We just got a new HP laptop running Vista Premium. The laptop
wireless connects just fine - no problems.

What I want to do is be able to print from the laptop and access files on
the PC. It is THIS setup process that I can't figure out how to begin. Most
of the articles I've found stop where I already am - setting up the wireless.

I'm looking for some step by step help in what to do NOW on both the PC and
the laptop to get them talking to each other.

Thank you.

Hi
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,
http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html
As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is
allowed to be shared.

Thank you! I will hopefully have some time this weekend to try those links
and get this all working.

Thanks again.
