I've inherited managing my company's Marketing Database and I'm having issues creating the kind of reports they'd like.

They want to be able to get a count of how many new entries are made to our main Project table every month.

So I made a simple Query from the Table with Project ID 'Key' and Submitted Date Field.

I enter criteria as between #1/1/2008# and 1/31/2008# into the Date field and set the ID field to Count; but instead of giving me a single number it keeps breaking the dam entries up by how many Project ID's their are for each Date. I.E. three new projects were entered on 1/8/2008 so it breaks them out and has 1 entry for 1/12/2008 on the row below and so on.

Anyone know a simple way to get just a total count? I'm sure it can't possibly be this difficult and that I'm just missing something. Thanks in advance.
