Is there an easy way to move a windows 2000 AD DC global catalog server from
one server to another. We are in the process of replacing our 1st windows
2000 AD DC global catalog server because of hardware issues

thanks

You can install the new server as a second DC in the original domain. Then
you can transfer the FSMO roles and GC to the new server along with any
networking services and other data. Your DHCP scopes may need to change to
reflect the change in IP address of the DNS server (if applicable)
The final and important step is to run dcpromo on the old server to make it
a member server before you turn it off.
