New Hardware found

I have begun getting a new error message on bootup...my
machine has been 'dragging very slowly" lately. On boot
up I now get the Found New Hardware dialogue, it is
trying to install WinDriver Virtual driver?? but can't
find the resources it is looking for, and keeps asking me
if I have the installation disk. Any ideas what this
would be about or how to defeat it. My computer has
become very sluggish, don't know if it's related.

Disconnect all peripherals such as - printers, scanners, wi-fi, cameras, etc
Only connect the keyboard and mouse. Reboo
Now see if the problem has departed
Now connect one peripheral at a time and reboot
If it gives the error message again you know the culprit.
