new hard drive

I just installed a new hard drive and switched all my files and OS to the
new drive adn I am using the old one as storage. I am wondering if I need to
change the boot process so both drives don't spin up at once and take longer
to start up my computer. Can I have teh storage drive spin up later? will
this help the start-up speed?
