New Disk Drive File Problem.

I have added an additional Hard drive to my system. I have partitioned it
using Partition Magic. I run Windows XP-Sp2 with no problems. I made several
partitions on this drive also with no problems and I can see them with
Windows Explorer. When I am running an "Administer" desktop I can
add/remove/move files into the new logical drives.
BUT when I am running in my main user desktop which has admininstrator
priveledges I cannot write to or change or deete programs or files from the
new partitions.

I know that there is somewhere in XP a rule or something which will let me
change the rules so that I can manipulate these partitions normally.

Any advice or help gratefully accepted.

From the administrator account, you should be able to take
ownership of the directories you need.

Instructions on how to do this are at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=308421

Once you have ownership of the directory, the
administrator account can access all the files, and should
also be able to assign access/ownership to whatever user
you please.

Note that by taking ownership, the previous owner of the
folders/files will no longer be able to access them until
ownership or access is restored to them.
