New Desktop Icon

Just after I rebooted my computer this morning a new icon named 'New
Briefcase' appeared as though by magic on my desktop.It has never been there
before.I assume that it is the XP version of Win98s 'Briefcase' but where
did it come from and why? If I delete it has it gone for good?
 
Hi Justin,

I don't know how it got there, but it can safely be deleted.
To create a New Briefcase, right click on the desktop, select
New and Briefcase.

Thanks.I probably did this myself inadvertently.Now I know.
