I need help. We currently type a lot of forms in Word and I want to create a
database to keep all these documents in. Can I create a form based on a word
document. I want to try keep the same layout for the end user. I have
created some small databases previously. Thanks.

Sure you can create the forms in Access but you will have to create table and
queries that allow you to print the forms with the information in them. Also
you will want to create REPORTS that will allow you to print out the
documents the way you want.

Are you wanting to store all of the data that you are entering into the
forms, or do you simply want to have a BLANK form that you can save as every
time you have to create a new form. There is a way in Word to create document
templates.

This won't be easy, Sue. A Word Document and an Access Form are two very
different types of object, and have very little in common.

What business task are you trying to accomplish? It sounds like you're using
Word as a tool to enter data into... what? Is the final product a sheet of
paper, a Word document that others can use, an EMail, or what?
