New Chart Control. Who did Microsoft acquire?

Ten pages turned up nothing so thank you. Do you have any insight into how
much of the Chart control was acquired for free reuse with ASP.NET or
WinForms as Scott Gu announces its not --now-- only for SQL Reporting
Services [1]? The whole functional potato? The Dundas Chart $2999+
Enterprise licenses now apparently available free and is a really nice
Christmas gift even if it was a sneak but saavy business scheme to motivate
developers to choose or continue to use .NET as opposed to PeeHPee
