Hi, Delphi.

Have you not yet found Disk Management? This utility can be reached in
several ways; one is to enter at the Run prompt: diskmgmt.msc

From Disk Management, you can change the drive letter of any drive except
the system and boot volumes. If you don't specifically assign letters here,
WinXP will reassign them each time you reboot, based on its own built-in
rules, so they may change as you add or remove drives or partitions.

I like to keep the earlier letters for HD partitions and assign CD/DVD
drives letters further out in the alphabet. V: for my DVD-ROM and W: for my
CD Writer, for example, but use letters that make sense to you.

Let's open up Windows XP's "Help and Support Center" and see
if we can find a solution:

1. Go to Start > Help and Support
2. The Help and Support Center is launched.
3. Let's type: DRIVE LETTERS , in the Search box.
4. Press the ENTER key on your keyboard.
5. Under "Pick a Task", click on "Assign, change or remove a drive letter".

To provide just a little bit more info:

When you open Disk Management (Right CLick on My Computer, click Manage,
click Disk Management), right click on the CD ROM Drive you wish to
change the letter of, click Change Drive Letter and Path..., then click
Change, then select the letter you want and click OK.
