New BITS Update

Since I have loaded the BITS update from critical updates I keep seeing a
message in event manager that the job file format is not recognized and was
created with version of BITS that is not the one that is running, the job
file has been deleted--or similar to this. This message appears
intermittently in event manager although I do not get an actual error
message that pops up in windows.

I am running XP Professional.

Has anyone else had this problem since loading recent BITS update or is
something just screwed up on my system?

Any info would be appreciated.

I can find numerous 'Bits' but as to whether they are the one yr referring
to, who knows?

Lori, I am getting those too after the BITS hotfix was installed.
According to another post here it should go away in a bit. Just a by
product from making the change.

This is an effect of the overlap from using one version to using the
other. It will go away soon as the event logger starts dropping off the
old records (or you start a new log file)
