When I posted this I "WAS" in the original thread but
must have hit New Post instead of Post Reply.
I had already discovered that I posted incorrectly and
reposted to the correct thread, 5 minutes before
you "corrected" me, looking at the times posted.
If there is a way to delete messages, let me know. I
would have removed the "incorrect" thread.
Hi Randy,
Removing a post is not going to do much except keep it from
getting archived, if you are quick enough. Those that have
already read in the message (automatically) will continue to see
the message in Outlook Express. If the message is deleted
then the replies to the message reference a non existent article.
Truth is that the Microsoft servers do not allow you to remove
your postings. Sometimes they lapsed for brief periods in the past
and allowed removal, but I've not seen anyone indicating success
in the last year or two. Not to mention that postings get propagated
on servers throughout the world, so it wouldn't be complete even if
you did succeed.
As far as posting later to the original thread, I don't see your reply
the CDO postings (Microsoft Communities) are not known for consistency,
most of the regulars would never touch a web based system unless
there was no other way (like a company firewall in between).
