networking

We have a netwrok in one store, and all computers have register.xls, which
feeds data into data.xls. We opened another store and I need to figure out
how to have the register.xls from store 2 feed into data.xls in store 1
I guess my main question is how to network the computers from 2 different
locations. I know its not really an excel question, but I didnt know where
else to ask.

Within the same store, how does "register" feed data to "data" ? The
mechanism here will perhaps determine the best approach to the
two-store problem.
