networking XP to ME

I cannot get my laptop (XP) to network to my home desktop
(ME.) I did not recieve a XP disk when I purchased my
computer and the "networking wizard" asks me for that
disk when trying to network. Any advice would be
appreciated. I am trying to network through a wireless
router (a Siemens Speedstream.) Thanks in advance.

Run the Wizard on XP, and tell it that the computer connects to the
Internet through a residential gateway. Tell it to create a floppy
disk containing the Wizard, and run that floppy disk on ME.

You can also make the network settings manually on both computers:

1. Configure the TCP/IP properties to obtain an IP address
automatically.

2. Set the workgroup name to MSHOME.

3. Disable XP's Internet Connection Firewall on the LAN connection.
