I just purchased an e-machines T2862 which has no floppy drive. Windows XP
comes pre installed so I do not get a Windows XP CD. I am trying to set up
networking with my other machine running Win98SE, but the networking
instructions say I have to create a networking floppy to take to the Win98
machine or use the Win XP CD on the Win98 machine. I can do neither.

Could someone ZIP all the files from a ICS/Networking floppy and send them
to me. Then I can create the floppy on the Win98 machine and run it on
itself. Any other solutions would also be appreciated. Please cc:

Thanks in advance.

The other and definitely safer approach would be to setup the Win98 machine
manually.

That won't do you any good unless the other party sending you the floppy
configures their network 100% identically to yours. I doubt that will
happen. :-)

As the good Admiral says, look at the settings on the XP computer and then
replicate them on the 98 computer.
