networking with my brother computer from my house to his

My brother and i want to set up a network between our 2 computers but the
problem is hes down in wales and i am up in scotland.We both have boardband
but we are with different servers is it possible and if so down we need any
programs or hardware?
 
Check into VPN (Virtual Private Networking). It's how companies and their
people outside the office connect. A Google search should help.
