Hi Mark,
You should be able to access the Network Wizard from the Windows XP CD by
doing the following.
Insert Windows XP CD into the Win98 computer.
When the "Welcome to Microsoft Windows XP" screen comes up, select Perform
additonal tasks
Select "Set up a home or small office network"
Continue through the wizard.
This should allow you to setup the Windows 98 computer with the correct
settings.
Hope this helps!
Thx,
Nico

i am trying to set up a network at home with two laptops (one is xp &
other is '98). Using the XP computer as the host i've gone through to set
it up, however it says that i have to create a disk or load the XP cd onto
the '98 computer and do an "other install" of the networking software on the
'98 computer. Since i don't have floppy disk capabilities i was trying to
use the XP cd into the '98 computer. But, it wants to "INSTALL" XP over '98
and i can't find where you just install the networking info needed to start
sharing files. Assistance would be helpful. Thanks!
