networking setup

How do I setup a W2K PC to network with a XP PC over a
wireless network?

I have a wireless network setup with two computers; a
desktop running XP and a laptop running W2K. They share
internet access through a wireless broadband router to a
cable modem. The desktop connects to the router by
hardwire; the laptop via wireless. I would like to be
able to share files between the two PCs and the printer
connected to the desktop. I think I have the XP PC setup
correctly, but how do I setup the W2K PC? Is this
possible? Where can I find the instructions or help info
needed to do this? Thanks.

Hi John-

Assuming your 2 machines are in a workgroup, and the both are in the same
workgroup, as long as you have File and Print sharing services for Micrsoft
listed in your LAN connection properties on both machines and they can ping
and net view each other, you can create shared directories with either READ
or FULL control to the everyone group. Or you could create a local account
and use that to connect... (not 100% success in my expierences.).

Hope this helps!
