Networking Problems

Okay, here is my situation:

I have two PCs both running XP Pro w/SP2 connected to a Linksys router model
WRT54GL. Simple file sharing is currently disabled. The following problems
have been observed connected via wireless and/or ethernet cable to the
router. In addition, the problems remain unresloved with both the XP
firewall and router firewall enabled and/or disabled.

On computer A, Workgroup "X" is available but when attempting to access
computer B the following error message is displayed:

"\\computer b is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permissions. The network path was not found."

Sometimes is asks for a username and password for access. I have never set
up a username or password for either computer.

On computer B, Workgroup "X" is NOT available and the following error
message is displayed:

" 'X' is not accessable. You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup is currently not
available."

Sometimes computer A and computer B display each others error message but
they never display the same error message at the same time.

I've been to Chuck's website and http://winhlp.com/wxnet.htm in trying to
resolve my issues but have had no luck so far. Any input would be greatly
appreciated.

I'm sorry that my website didn't provide the help that you need. Work with us,
and let's see if we can diagnose the problem.

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this
article with an open mind.

Check for a consistent setting for NetBT, this is essential.

And let's look at "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all", from each computer, so
we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
