Restored system to XP Pro after reformat. LAN and Internet worked fine previously, but since restore and application of SP1 unable to share files and deteriorated internet access - inconcistent and much chatter.

Reviewed settings and found ICS installed (Internet Gateway displayed under Networ Connections); however, I do not want to configure my network to use ICS. Each of the three systems [Millenium, XP Home, XP Pro (the restored system)] are connected via Linksys 4 port wireless AP.

Have the ability to capture sniffer data if it will help.

The Internet Gateway in the Network Connections folder doesn't mean
that ICS is installed on your computer. It means that there's an
Internet Gateway device on your network: your Linksys router/AP.
Clicking the Internet Gateway icon lets you monitor and control the
router/AP.

I'm sorry, but I don't have enough information to speculate on the
other problems that you're seeing.
