NETWORKING PROBLEM

Have home network set up as follows: Linksys router spreads AOL internet
connection to three computers. They are connected to the router by ethernet
cables. One computer has XP home, one XP pro and one Windows 2000. The XP
home can access the other two computers without problems. However, the XP
pro and the w2k cannot access the XP home. This is so despite diconnecting
all firewalls. Why is this and how can I resolve the problem. No matter
what I try, I get the message "Computer is not accessible. You mightl not
have permission to use this network resource. Contact the adminstrator of
this server to find out if you have access permission. Logon failure: The
user has not been granted the required logon type at this computer.

John,

XP Home provides file sharing using the Guest account. Is it enabled?

Cheers,
Chuck
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
