I am trying to get my home network to work. I jave three computters connected
via a hub. The computer from which I am typing this is directly connected to
the internet (dial-up) and the other two are supposed to feed off of that.
The two computers that are not directly connected to the internet (dial-up)
get an error message that says little or no connectivity. Can somebody help
me get this network up and running?
Thanks

Set all three computer to the same IP range and subnet first. Use something
like 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3 and turn the subnet to
255.255.255.0.

Then double click on your network connection in your system tray.
goto the advanced tab
select share internet connection
select ok

that should do it.

Enable Internet Connection Sharing on the main computer's dial-up
Internet connection. Configure the other computers as Internet
Connection Sharing clients. I've written a web page with details:
