Network Unsolvable Problem Please Help

Please help!

I am running a network with 4 computers: a server running
Windows 2003 Server, a desktop running Windows XP, a
laptop running Windows XP and a laptop running Windows
98. All of them see and are seen by the network. I
added a 5th computer running Windows XP Pro but this
computer can not see the network. The other machines can
see the computer but cannot connect to it. The error
message is "computer or sharename could not be found".
The 5th computer can connect to the Internet and surf the
Web. I can ping all the computers in the network
including the problem computer. I can even use Laplink
through the LAN to coonect the problem computer to the
server. The network has a DSL modem with a router and
switcher (ZyXel)and a Netgear switch. A network printer
is attached to the network in addition to the five
computers. IP addresses are given by the DSL router by
DHCP. The problem computer has a correct DHCP provided
address. I have checked numerous times the TCP/IP
settings and also implemented the File and printer
sharing via IPX/SPX. NetBios is also on as default and
I have tried to force it to be on. I have a Firewire
card in the problem computer and have tried everything
from removing it from the bus, disabling it or bridging
it to the the 3Com network card. Nothing has worked. I
do not have an XP firewall because the modem is providing
a firewall.

Any advice will be most welcome and appreciated.

Sounds like you haven't joined that computer to the domain. Press WINDOWS
KEY-PAUSE to bring up system properties and use the name change wizard to
join/rejoin the domain.

Have joined / rejoined the domain endless times. It will
not recognize my domain name at all ("Domain name not
found" message). Have joined the correct workgroup with
similar unsuccessful results.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks. -LDB
