Is there any freeware software for drawing network topology diagrams?
Something like Visio, with a lot of nice icons ;-) for each network
devices?
Dia seems not to be a good choice...

Pajek runs on Windows and is free for noncommercial use.

I think Pajek directly reads Ucinet files. There is a detailed manual on
the web site.

Maybe I misunderstood the question: which type of networks - technical,
PC or social one ?
