Network setup problem

I have 2 PCs and a laptop on an home office network. One PC runs WIN 98SE,
the others run WIN XP Pro. The one running WIN 98 loses its network setup
every time I shut down and restart.

I rerun the setup and it works OK until the next shut down.

Any advise on how to correct this problem?

Without knowing for sure what network setup the Win98 computer is losing, I'll
let you read about one major problem you can run into with Win98 and WinXP on
the same network. Read this article, and linked articles, and ask questions as
you feel necessary:
