Network Setup Problem -- Can't log in

I seemed to of made a mistake attempting to add my laptop from work to my home network now I can't get into the machine at all.

My work laptop is generally setup to connect to the LAN at my office, however attempted to add it to my home network. I did this by going to the network / dialup connections in the control panel. There I uncheck the domain box and checked the group box and typed in the name of my home workgroup. I then got a error that read something to the effect of user not bound contact your system admin, However it said the laptop had been added to the group. It then required a reboot for all changes to take effect.

I rebooted at that time, however when I tried to login my user name and password would fail and I'd be stuck at the logon screen. I know I was using the right username and password but it would still fail. Canceling the logon didn't help either, I was still stuck at the logon screen.

The bottom line is that I can no longer get past the logon screen on my laptop, not even in a stand alone mode.

Any suggestions on how I can correct this, or how I can change my network setting back without logging on to the box?

I know this sounds a bit convoluted but any help would be appreciated.

Check with your office's network administrator about the local Administrator
password.
