Network problem

Two computers on the network running XP Home. One shows 'Your Network
Places' in the Start menu, the other doesn't.

The one that doesn't show it doesn't show the network icons in 'My
Computer' 'Your Network Places' either. But if I enter the name of a
network drive or use a short-cut icon the network works - usually.

Guesses? Cures? It worked once upon a time, when I set it up, some months
ago.

TIA

Not familiar with 'Your Network Places'. If you are talking about 'My
Network Places', right click the task bar and select Properties. Select
Start Menu and click Customize. Click Advanced and check the box for My
Network Places.

Sorry. Senility.

Ok, got 'My Network Places' on the Start menu now. Thanks. But no list of
local networked drives/partitions like I get on the other networked
machine. Still missing something.
