Network printer port creation in Vista

Adding a new Vista (32 bit) to an existing network with XP computers. When
installing the network printer port it refuses to accept the port with the
comment "the segment of the print server you select is different from your
computer". Printer is connected to the network through a router. It does find
the printer (ping is ok).

Hi - I suggest you try posting in a Windows Vista group for help with this &
other Vista issues -

microsoft.public.windows.vista.*
 
thanks for the fast reaction, I've tried many more and now does he work!
Vista doesn't support 'network printer port' orso, so I did it in an other
way, with the checkboxes under in this menu, sorry its a bit unclear but i'm
done!
