network path not found

Hi

We have a win2003 server (enterprise addition), win2000
and winxp client (for testing purposes). The problem is
that the win2000 client can share resources with the
server but can't successfully be added to the domain. It
says network path not found after adding the username and
password. Pinging both the server and the xp client from
the win2000 client is fine and dns and wins is installed
and appears to be working correctly.

Why can't we add the win2000 client to the domain?

Please help

Thanks

WINS doesn't matter to Active Directory, but DNS does. You need to be sure
the new PC is using the AD DNS server for DNS before you'll be able to join
the domain.
