Network Icon Missing

I am running build 5384 and just noticed that my wireless network and network
connection icons are missing. They both just seemed to have been removed
from the taskbar. I can't find an option anywhere to enable these icons.
Any suggestion as to how I can get the wireless connection and network icons
back?

Update: I found the option within the properties for the start menu, but I
am unable to select the nework check box because it is greyed out. What
would be causing this?
