when i click on my network connections in the control panel it opens up with
nothing in it. Blank, the same thing happens when i try to open
system/hardware/devicemanager it is all gone. How can i fix this???

Click Start, Run and type this command:

CMD /K DRIVERQUERY /V >C:\driverslist.txt

Wait a few seconds and then open the C:\driverslist.txt file. Post the
information here.

Windows XP Troubleshooting

I did a routine update on AVG free then Spybot and the
restarted my computer as usual. But when the desktop came up it just hung
with the hourglass turning. This is lasting about 8 to 10 minutes each time
I start or restart the computer.
I tried to get Windows Task Manager up to see if I could find
something that might be a cause. But all it'll do is flash quickly on the
screen then it's gone with little green boxes for each click I had done to
bring up the WTM.
Then tried the Msconfig in Run but that won't come up either.
Then tried going to Task Manager through the task bar..that won't open .
Went through the Safe Mode and everything worked fine!!!???
Have ran my Virus checkers several time since and had no change to problems.
My Restore program won't work either to do a goback.....but
that's been a past problem I hadn't fixed yet!
If anyone can help me with this I sure would be grateful!!
This is really getting old fast!

Thanks...........Penny
