Network connections folder will not open

Hey

I seem to have lost the ability to open the network connections folder - the one that has the various connections in it. I can't access it through the start menu (where the shortcut just appears as a blank folder), control pannel or anything - it just will not open

However, the my ADSL and wireless network connections still work fine, albeit without the icons in the system tray

I'm completely baffled - any ideas at all?

Please be certain the Netshell.dll is actually gone before you continue.
You can do this via:
Start --> run --> type "cmd"
From the command prompt type "dir %windir%\system32\netshell.dll"

If for some reason Netshell.dll has been deleted your best options would be:
1) Use system restore to go back to a point proir to this occurring
2) Using your windows CD perform a repair to re-apply any dlls which may
have been deleted.

How did you fix the problem?? It seems I have the same problem, but I
don't know about the netshell.dll and how to fix it.
