Network Bridging 2 Computers

I have 2 computers in my home in separate rooms that I would like to bridge
but do not know how (if it is even possible). They both have Windows XP.

Computer A is a desktop and is connected directly to my DSL modem via USB
cable.
Computer B is a laptop and is connected wirelessly to the same modem (the
modem has a wireless gateway).

Does anybody know how I could set up a bridge between these 2 PCs to share
files and printers ect..?
