Network Bridge

My XP Pro machine automatically set up a network bridge
while I was trying to set up a home network. The nework
bridge icon is not visible. I need to remove this
bridge. Does anyone know how to do this, if there is no
icon and clicking on the components does not offer the
disconnect from network bridge option?

I don't quite understand how you know there is a network bridge
if there is no Network Bridge Icon in Network Connections.
I assume that is where you meant, when you say that the Network
Bridge Icon is not visible.
You could try looking in Device Manager under Network Adapters
and right click and uninstall any Network Bridge.
You also could right click and uninstall all Network Adapters
and then restart and have them redetected.
Note that if you currently have a Local Area Connection in
Network Connections and uninstall / reinstall all Network Adapters,
then you will end up with Local Area Connection2. You can right
click on it and rename back to Local Area Connection.
