I have a small network and have experienced, that when i install a program
on No 1 comp. the network access to this comp. is sometimes blocked.

What i do is a systen restore and to problem is over.

Yesterday i installed Norton Ghost and the problem was there, now after
restore it's ok.

I have no idea what it can be it's there since approx. 2 months

I use Win XP pro and kaspersky anti virus.

Only Ad-watch is standby further no firewall etc.

I use a netgear router model DG834PN

I would be grateful if some one could help me.

what is the exact message that appears on the screen when the program
gets 'blocked'.

Thanks for your reply

The message i get is:

\\pc1\pc1 C is not accesable. You may not have permission to use this
network resource . Contacty the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permissions

If you are running service pack 2 . then there will be windows
firewall. disable that (its useless anyway). if that doesnt work try to
turn Ad-watch off (it doesnt do much
