I have a wireless router with no computer directly hardwired in. Both IBM
thinkpads with windows xp pro. On computer A I can see the computer B on
the network but can not access. On computer B I am not able to see the
working group or the network for computer A. I am using set up a home or
small office and it seem to run ok with out errors? Anyone seen this one
setting up a workgroup on the network to share files?

Hi Palbo,

This is a rather frequently seen complaint here, but one with several different
causes. One of the most common would be a misconfigured or overlooked personal
firewall, antivirus, or other security component. There are several other
possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this article
with an open mind.

For more immediate help, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!):
