Network Access Error Message

when trying to access a windows xp pro machine in my
network places on a windows 2000 machine i get the
following message:

the servers clock is not synchronized with the primary
domain controllers clock

what does this mean and how do i resolve it?

By default computers joined to a domain will synchronize their clocks with
the authenticating domain controller. Domain controllers get time from the
DC holding the PDC role.

On the XP machine, run this command:

w32tm /resync
