Network a wireless laptop and wired desktop

I am trying to network a wired desktop and a wireless
laptop for a home network. The laptop and the desktop
connect to the internet using a 802.11b broadband
router. The OS on the laptop is Win XP Home Edition and
that on the desktop is Win XP Professional. I would
appreciate it if anyone could share the steps involved in
setting up this network
