Hello All,
I have 2 PCs running w98se and one laptop running w2k. I
have all the files that I want to share on all three sys
set to share. But for some reason the two pcs running 98
can auto see each other. If I do a search from my 2k sys,
after about 2 to 3 mins it comes up with the sys I'm
looking for. Here is my set-up I have a cable modem running
to a DI0704UP D-LINK router. the router has 4 ports. I'm
using only 2. One line off the router is going to a 10
base-T 4 port hub/switch. Out of the hub I have one PC and
the laptop. And out of the port on the router is the PC
running w98. I can't see the laptop running w2k for either
PC running w98.

I am guessing you have all of the PC's configured for the same workgroup
name?
You can ping each of the computers from every computer?
You have the proper networking protocols enabled (netbios in particular)?

Hello Ken,
On the PC hooked to the hub with the laptop. The I want to
enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP is checked and grayed out. And
on the laptop, Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP is choosen. They
have the the workgroup name of WORKGROUP. And yes I can
ping any of the three from the other. Any ideas?
