I would be interested in any feedback also. It looks like a decent
program on the service.
I have Safety Net running right now and so far, so good. I set up and
enabled a DMZ in my router and passed the connection straight to my
computer. It passed the PC Flank tests as all stealthed. I will post
more results later.

It's register-ware before you download, if that matters to you.

The only required field to actually register is an email address. I
have it downloaded and running right now and so far it is doing exactly
what it says it will do. I activated the web content filter and it has
been perfect on that so far with the tests I have ran. You can see from
my posts above that it has passed the PC Flank and GRC tests also. Are
there any more tests I should run?

Safety.Net works on Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP platforms,
and operates with any compliant Proxy Server or Network Address Translation
(NAT) gateway from any provider

So I tried it and am very impressed so far. It works stand alone or
networked, but I have not tried all of the blocking capabilities.

Well worth looking at, and I will probably keep it as my firewall as there
do not appear to be other freeware firewalls that work well with networks.

License appears to limit network applications to twenty-eight days
trial. Single computer does not appear to have that limitation.

It passed GRC with flying colors.

For the most part, it passed for me too.
However, when using IE and testing with ShieldsUP!'s "All Service Ports", Port 1 - TCP Port Service Multiplexer shows up as being in Closed instead of Stealth status.
All Ports were in Stealth when using Opera.
Is anyone else seeing this also?
Does it happen with other firewalls, like Sygate?
Does it need to be fixed, for those few times that I use IE? If so, how?

I'm looking around for another free firewall. I came across this one
NetVeda ( http://www.netveda.com/consumer/safetynet.htm#system ) and was
curious if anyone has any feedback about it.

Results are in for me.. very nice program. But one thing about it makes it
hard for me to use. I like using a Power User account for my daily PC use.
Seems this program won't let me do much unless i'm an Admin. Makes it
difficult to customize on the fly

How much system power does NetVeda Firewall need? Is it
noticeable? Is logging good?

My old system seems to be handeling the load very nicely, as for logging,
have not yet had the the chance to explre that question, but, at 56k,
this sweet little prog quietly announces every effort from this filth
ridden netdom's prying efforts.

I'm trialling it now. It seemed a little slow in requesting program
permissions at times but otherwise seems all right. Passes the Shields
Up Tests on GRC with flying colours (Total Stealth).

Relatively easy to set-up; a little more difficult than ZoneAlarm but
easier than SoftPerfect.

So far it seems to be a keeper for me.
