Netscape & Outlook Express

I searched for my topic and no one else seems to be having this problem.

I started with Netscape as my ISP about three weeks ago. Configured Outlook Express as my mail server and everything worked fine until two days ago.

The minute I open Outlook it gives me a Netscape pop-up windown that asks "Are you sure you want to sign off?" No matter what I choose it disconnects me immediately.

I also have found an error msg that says Outlook could not find find the POP3 server. I have checked the POP3 address and it is correct. The same one I used for two weeks with no problems.

I have spoken to Netscape numerous times and they are of no help. Since this happens when I try to open Outlook Exp. they immediately blame Microsoft.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thank you

While this group doesn't support Outlook Express, have you tried the
following?

1) Select Tools | Options | Connection tab and make sure the hang up
checkbox is unchecked

2) Select Tools | Accounts. Highlight a mail account and select properties.
Go to the connection tab. Make sure that it is set right for your Internet
connection type. (I uncheck everything so OE will use any available.
Sometimes this gets hooked into an old dialup account.)

3) Double check the connection tab in Internet Explorer.

If you need additional help, the folks that support Outlook Express are down
the hall under...
