Installed netmeeting on my office pc. When I rebooted the
next day, got this error message:

mnmsrvc.exe Application error:
The instruction at "0x6ac960e0" referenced memory
at "0x0000001c". The memory could not be "read".
Click OK to terminate program.

This happens when I boot up, not when I log off. This
error pops up when the login screen appears. What should
I do? I tried to uninstall Netmeeting, but it doesn't
appear in the Add/Remove programs list. I asked our IT
department, and they said it probably isn't Netmeeting
since it was already installed on my machine I just
configured it when I "installed it".

Any responses would help,
Thanks !

What did you do to "install" Netmeeting on Windows 2000? Do you have Exchange on this machine?

OK I did a little investigation on this. You must first configure Netmeeting. Pretty simple. Start | Run | conf | OK Here you will be adjusting sound and various ways to capture video and connect to a server. If you don't know the server just accept the default you'll get a server when you start using Netmeeting live.

Now if you want Remote Desktop Sharing you must use the wizard in Netmeeting. You'll find it under tools. Then when you do this you will find that uou can start the Remote Desktop Service in the Services applet off Administrator tools. But you must be looged into the machine as the Administrator.

You use conf to start Netmeeting.

Make sure that Netmeeting Remote Desktop Sharing Service is NOT set to start automatically.
