Netgear WG111 USB adapter causes freeze in XP Home

my Netgear WG111 USB adapter causes freeze ups in XP Home

latest fix from netgear is no help..

also my adapter heats up to about 130 degrees F.. very warm to the
touch..

anybody else have experience on this issue
 
That certainly sounds too warm. Have you tried other devices in that
USB port? Did they work OK ? Were they as hot ? If that all checks
out, I'd send the card back and get another one.
